Healthy sporting in a fresh savoury air, peace, and relaxation: fill up new energy with snow shoe hikes in South Tyrol in the Dolomites. Snow shoe hikes in the various South Tyrolean winter landscape are a popular alternative to skiing.

Those who wish to enjoy the nature of the Dolomites far from the usual hiking paths, are advised to try snow shoe hikes. This sport is suitable for everybody with little effort.

• guided snow shoe hikes: In collaboration with the Alpine School, we organize weekly guided hikes with snowshoes to the most beautiful surroundings. Participation is free and the equipment can be rented on site with a modest contribution towards expenses. 
• around the Three Peaks: on this tour you enjoy a fantastic view for 4-5 hours
• Monte Casella di Fuori (2004 m): demanding tour of 3 hrs for friends of nature
• Pasture tour (1877 m): from the Passo Monte Croce to the alpine pastures and huts of Coltrondo, Nemes, and Klammbach. Difference in height: 343 m. Time: 4,5 hrs.
• Croda Rossa (1900 m): wonderful hike starting from the Fiscalina valley. Possible stops at the huts Rotwandwiesen or Rudi.  Difference in height: 500 m. Ascent: 2 hrs.

Thank to the broad stepping area the feet do not sink so deep in the snow, so that big distances can be covered with little strength. You can hike on snow-covered alpine pastures in the Dolomites, discover traces of wild animals, and experience nature in the Dolomites in deep quietness. If your try snow shoe hiking once, you will hardly be able to resist the temptation to do it again and again
