Finnish sauna

Do you like the purifying and relaxing effects of a sauna? Then the Wellness Hotel Monika in the Sextener Dolomiten is the right place for you. No other cabin represents the origins of the European sauna tradition better than the classic Finnish sauna. The word sauna comes from the Finnish language and means “room made of wood”. The typical characteristics of the Finnish sauna are the high temperature (90°C) and the low humidity of about 10-20%. The vaporization of menthol or eucalypt have a beneficial effect on the respiratory tract.

Herbal steam bath

With the Ottoman Hamam the tradition of steam baths arrived to our countries. They are popular particularly due to the combination of high humidity and warmth. The qualities of flower for the human body are well known thank to the Bach flower therapy. Flower extracts with a low inhalation steam are introduced in the room.  At the Wellness Hotel Monika in South Tyrol you find an ample steam bath (12 m²) with different scents. Our aroma steam bath offers a constant temperature of  42 ° C and a humidity of 100 %.

Biosauna

The Biosauna is a lighter version of the Finnish sauna and has positive effects on the skin and on health. The room temperature is of 55°C, the humidity of up to 60 %. Enjoy the warmth of the stylish alpine herbal sauna at the Wellness Hotel Monika in the Dolomites, and relax. Then refresh under the two Raindance showers.
